Call for Artists
At Images you can display your work and participate in a collaborative, member-owned gallery. Since 1988 our organization of professional artists has been dedicated to the creation, promotion, and education of fine arts in the Greater Kansas City area.
Members share the duties of managing the gallery and work as a team to make the gallery successful.
Want to join us?
Why would I want to?
Co-ops like Images give artists who are early in their careers a way to get exposure. Profit is important, but we value community and as a member you have access to a supportive community and a network of local artists.
What does the gallery expect from members?
Our success depends on engaged members who staff and manage the gallery. There are no paid employees to keep Images running. We count on members who show up and participate. In addition to working in the gallery there are a variety of ways to be involved. Members may work on the two annual shows, teach classes, assist in gallery management, or promote the gallery.
Members also pay dues. The rate varies a little whether you pay quarterly or month-to-month. Quarterly dues are currently $180. When you join the gallery you're asked to commit to participating and paying dues for a year. There are other levels of membership, such as a three-month commitment, or being a featured artist for a month. Contact the gallery for more details.
What if I'm an established artist?
You may be an established artist, and membership in Images can be a way to supplement your sales and to interact with your collectors. Images provides an attractive, easily accessible space to have your work on display, plus your work can be highlighted in a Featured Artist exhibition.
Any other benefits?
Full members can take workshops at a reduced rate, and can offer workshops through the gallery.
If you want to set-up an online shop Images members can help you.
